Founded in 1949 in Kobe, Japan, Asics quickly became a major player in the world of sneakers for sportsmen. Its GEL™ technology has elevated it into a world reference for sportsmen and women but also for lovers of comfort and innovation. "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano", or "a healthy mind in a healthy body", is the modo of the Japanese brand.
The EX89 model is based on the old GEL-EXTREME basketball model from 1989. This one is combined with modern cushioning technologies. It was Toshikazu Kayano's first design for ASICS in the 1980s. On this new model, the cushioning system has been optimised with FF BLAST technology. The heel is sculpted and the sole pattern imitates the silhouette of a city from the sky.
