Initially a manufacturer of rubber boots in Boston, it was in 1919 that Converse marketed the iconic All-Star. Present at the Olympic Games and a favorite of NBA players, it is the reference for basketball players. Little by little, Converse ceased to be a sports shoe and became representative of a certain lifestyle to be today the prosperous brand that we all know.
In 1974, Converse released a low-profile version of the suede Chuck Taylor All Star with a simple yet striking change: the outer surface of the sneaker bore a star and nothing else. Then in the early 90s, the re-released One Star was an immediate success in the skateboarding world.
